Fan Pays $8,500 For Coffee With De Niro

A fan has paid a massive $8,500 (£5,667) to go for a coffee with ROBERT DE NIRO.
The Raging Bull star offered up an outing to a coffee shop as a lot for a star-studded charity auction in New York on Thursday night (29Apr10) - and an unnamed bidder pounced on the prize and paid thousands of dollars for a meeting with the movie star.
The sale, which raised money for the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, also saw a pair of tickets to Sir Elton John’s next Oscars party auctioned for $52,500 (£35,000).
A visit to the set of hit TV show Mad Men sold for $24,000 (£16,000) and a fedora hat worn by Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones movie series fetched $19,500 (£13,000), according to the New York Daily News.
