Hollywood celebrities vying for top perfume honour

LONDON - Mariah Carey, Halle Berry, Avril Lavigne and Faith Hill are vying for best celebrity fragrance at America’s annual FiFi Awards.

Mariah Carey’s-ultra pink scent is competing against Avril Lavigne’s-black star perfume while Faith Hill’s and Halle Berry fragrances are competing for woman’s popular appeal category at the event.

Aceshowbiz.com reports, the winner will be announced at a gala held by The Fragrance Foundation in New York June 10. Usher’s self-titled scent has already been named Male Celebrity Fragrance of the Year.

The FiFi awards is an annual event sponsored by The Fragrance Foundation that honour the fragrance industry’s creative achievements and are considered the “Oscars” of the fragrance industry.

Last year, the event named reality TV star Paris Hilton’s scent as the winner in female celebrity fragrance category.
