Date Night Wins Titans Clash

STEVE CARELL and TINA FEY’s comedy DATE NIGHT has edged out CLASH OF THE TITANS to top the U.S. box office by an estimated $200,000 (£125,000).
The $55 million (£34.3 million) comedy made $27.1 million (£16.9 million) in its opening weekend to finish just ahead of Sam Worthington’s star-studded action epic and animated hit How To Train Your Dragon, which came in third.
The estimated weekend grosses for Date Night and Clash of the Titans were so close that they could easily switch positions when exact ticket sales for Sunday are calculated on Monday (12Apr10).
