Hanks plans to turn Green Day’s album into movie

LONDON - Oscar winning actor Tom Hanks is reportedly planning to turn rock band Green Day’s American Idiot album into a movie.
Contactmusic.com reports that the concept album has already been turned into a hit stage musical and now Hanks and his Playtone partner Gary Goetzman are set to bring it on the silver screen.
Playtone was the company behind hit Abba musical “Mamma Mia”.
