LOS ANGELES - Director Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” was the top film in the US for a second weekend in a row, according to sales estimates released Sunday.

“Alice”, which stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, brought in $62 million in ticket sales for Walt Disney Co, making a total of $208.6 million in the first two weeks of its release.

Iraq war movie “Green Zone”, starring Matt Damon, opened in second place and earned a disappointing $14.5 million for NBC Universal.

In third place was “She’s Out of My League” ($9.6 million), followed by Robert Pattinson-starrer “Remember Me” ($8.28 million). Teen heart-throb Pattinson last appeared on the big screen in the “Twilight” series.

“Shutter Island” was in fifth place ($8.14 million), while “Our Family Wedding” - with America Ferrera and Forest Whitaker and about a wedding uniting black and Hispanic families - took in $7.6 million in ticket sales.

“Avatar”, the highest-grossing film of all time, was in seventh place with $6.6 million.

Who is silly enough to pay 12 bucks to go see an anti-American movie like Green Zone? Matt Damon is just a puppet for Universal, who’s owned by puppetmaster G.E.

I will not only avoid any future Matt Damon movies, I won’t buy G.E. either. I bought my new Whirlpool waterheater this weekend at Lowes, just to avoid the G.E. waterheater at Home Depot. Don’t just boycott the puppet, boycott the puppetmaster too!

even thought this movie has great reviews and dominates box office, I don’t trust that this movie is worth seeing it, but just because it is so mediated, maybe we should see it..

I’ve heard great reviews about the movie. I haven’t seen it but am planning to in the coming days. I’ve always been a fan of Tim Burton.
