Kate Winslet has a date with “Mildred Pierce”

NEW YORK - Kate Winslet will star in a five-hour “Mildred Pierce” miniseries for HBO, it has emerged.
This is the same role that won Joan Crawford an Oscar in 1945.
Just like the film, the series will be based on James M. Cain’s classic noir novel about Pierce.
Pierce is a proud single mother struggling to earn her daughter’s love during the Great Depression, reports The New York Post.
Todd Haynes will direct the miniseries.
Winslet has earned six Oscar nominations in addition to her win last year for “The Reader.” (ANI)
