LONDON - A TV show depicting extreme sexuality, violence and profanity is set to hit UK screens this year.
Racy historical drama, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, evoked strong criticism in the US with its season featuring full-frontal nudity, reports the Sun.
The series tells the story of Spartacus, a Roman gladiator, who later became the leader of a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic.
Spartacus, played by Andy Whitfield, is bought by ruthless Batiatus, portrayed by Scottish actor John Hannah and his wife Lucretia (Lucy Lawless). (ANI)
