Tobey Maguire to star in ‘The Hobbit’

LONDON - Hollywood actor Tobey Maguire has reportedly been roped in to play the lead in ‘The Hobbit’.
The ‘Spider Man’ star will play the role of Bilbo Baggins in the blockbuster movie version of JRR Tolkein’s classic book.
According to the reports, producer Peter Jackson and director Guillermo del Toro have been in talks with him for months, reports the Sun.
A source said, “The Hobbit team are deep in the casting process. Everyone is over the moon.”
“Tobey is not only one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood, he is also one of the best actors.”
The shooting of the film will start in the summer with the story split into two movies, set for release in 2011 and 2012. (ANI)
