Celebs share their hangover cures

MELBOURNE - New Year’s Day brings with it mighty hangovers, and many will be trying out different concoctions in an effort to cure them, though medically, there is no real cure for a hangover.
While Puerto Ricans swear by rubbing a slice of lemon in the armpit of their drinking arm before they start drinking, Russians believe in drinking the juice squeezed from a cucumber, and some Asiatic Indians prefer to drink a glass of their own wee, reports the Herald Sun.
Though there is no sure cure, some celebrities were asked to share what helps in curing their hangovers.
Socialite Paris Hilton said that a quarter pounder burger filled with cheese and accompanied by lots of fries helps her.
The Naked Chef or Jamie Oliver swears by a double portion of eggs and bacon, while Aussie singer Dannii Minogue says vegemite and grated cheese grilled on toast always works for her.
Kylie Minogue preferred egg sandwiches, and Liz Hurley opted for not drinking too much in the first place.
Actress Kate Winslet said a sausage and bacon sandwich, a big glass of orange juice and a cup of sugary tea helps her, as the combination of vitamins and sugar perks her up.
Music mogul Simon Cowell revealed he does not remember when the last time was when he got drunk, though he cures his hangovers by getting plenty of exercise and drinking plenty of fruit juice.
Kiwi actor Russell Crowe swears by tequila on the rocks, and says that sticking to the drink will not give you a hangover.
Comedian Robbie Williams prefers two packets of cheese and onion crisps, a Mars bar and two cartons of cold Ribena Light fruit juice.
