LONDON - Brittany Murphy’s stick-thin figure as seen in her last interview has sparked rumours that the actress’ death may have been related to anorexia. he 32-year-old star, who was found dead last weekend, had appeared quite weak at the opening of a Los Angeles clothing store on December 3, reports the Telegraph.
“I am a bit thinner now than what I would like to be,” she told Fox News.
She pointed out that her figure was a result of dance lessons.
She said: “I was a ballerina for a long time. I still take ballet lessons now - what it does to your body is incredible.”
However, those who saw her said she looked quite “distracted and dazed”.
The LA Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter, stated that it looked like Murphy end was natural.
He said: “She appeared to be healthy. She’s a small woman though.”
Prescription medication was discovered from her Hollywood home where she died due to alleged cardiac arrest. She was suffering from flu-like symptoms in the days before her death.
Winter said no illegal drugs were found and it could not be said that she was taking drugs “at this time”.
The “Clueless” had said she had always stayed away from cocaine and denied having an eating disorder.
However, a pal told People mag that Murphy had “insane self-image issues”.
Another pal said: “She wore extraordinary amounts of make-up, tons of fake eyelashes, got her teeth capped, dyed her hair blonde, lost weight - she wanted to be a beauty. She didn’t want to be the fat girl from Clueless. She didn’t eat a lot. She would drink copious amounts of coffee.” (ANI)
