BANGALORE - Karnataka’s Information Technology and Biotechnology Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu will be seen in cameraman-turned-director Ashok Kashyap’s film “Lift Kodla”. He says he agreed to do the movie at the behest of his friend Jaggesh, who plays main lead in the movie.

“It is my friend Jaggesh who insisted that I do this role. I agreed and all the shooting was completed within hours. I’m now eager to see the film. I hope I won’t prove to be a bad actor,” Subramanya Naidu told reporters here.

A remake of Telugu hit “Maa Shreyobhilashi”, the film is about a group of people who are dissatisfied with society and want to end their lives. Jaggesh leads the group.

The film also stars Jaggesh’s younger brother Komal.

While Komal plays a film producer trying to end his life by committing suicide, Subramanya Naidu features as the home minister in “Lift Kodla”.

Kashyap is pretty satisfied with the minister’s performance.

“I think all good speakers in politics will make good actors as they won’t forget their lines,” he said.
