LONDON - Actress Carrie Fisher has hit back at critics who say she hasn’t aged well.
The ‘Star Wars’ star, 52, who was admired for her beauty in young age, admits comparisons to her younger, slimmer self are crippling.
“I tried to arrest my development physically as well as emotionally but unfortunately without much success,” the Daily Express quoted Fisher as saying.
“I also must confess that I ate food. I’m sorry. I realise that I promised never to eat anything but lettuce and sunflower seeds but tragically I was unable to keep my promise,” she added.
Meanwhile, Fisher earned appreciation for her one-woman show ‘Wishful Drinking’, about her life in Hollywood, which has just opened on Broadway. (ANI)
