MUMBAI - ‘Gateway of India’ in Mumbai came alive at night on Tuesday when the crew of the forthcoming Bollywood film ‘Allah Ke Bande’ descended upon the monument to shoot for a sufi song.
The monument was abuzz with activity as the crew of the film set up equipment and arranged the props to shoot for a special song for the movie, sung by Sufi singer Kailash Kher.
Based on juvenile crime and directed by Faruq Kabir, the film explores how kids are involved in the world of crime.
“This film is basically about two kids who supply drugs, in the process get involved in other crimes,” said Kabir.
Kailash Kher has specially composed the song for the film.
“Around 600 kids from across the world have been brought here to shoot for this song. So monetarily as well as in terms of thought, the song is unique in itself,” said Kher.
The film boasts of an attractive star cast including Sharman Joshi, Naseeruddin Shah, Anjana Sukhani, Atul Kulkarni, Zakir Hussain and Anupam Kher. (ANI)
