Actor C. THOMAS HOWELL has added his tribute to the late PATRICK SWAYZE, insisting his co-star in three movies was like a big brother to him.

The former Brat Pack star featured alongside Swayze in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders in 1983 and the pair went on to star in two more mid-1980s movies - Red Dawn and Grandview U.S.A.

He admits they became very close and he’s devastated by the star’s passing after losing his battle with cancer on Monday (14Sep09).

He says, “He was a really great guy. He never had children but there were many of us that he took under his wing.

“I always looked at him like my older brother.”
