Mckellen To Be Honoured With Acting Award

SIR IAN MCKELLEN will be honoured with a prestigious acting award at an upcoming film festival in Spain.

The veteran star has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in the movie business dating back to the 1960s, and bosses at the San Sebastian International Film Festival have decided to recognise his contribution to Hollywood.

He will receive the Donostia Award in a lavish ceremony on 23 September (09).

Previous recipients of the honour include Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep and Richard Gere.
