Rambha in the remake of When a stranger callsThese days, Kollywood seems to be much adhered to continuous remakes as the producers consider them as the safest bet. Now followed by Ninaithale Inikkum (remake of ‘Classmates’), Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ (A Wednesday) and Dhanush’s ‘Kutty’ (Allu Arjun’s ‘Aarya’), its turn of Rambha to get along with the same formula.

The actress seems to be elated for praiseworthy laurels won for her performance in ‘Quick Gun Murugan’. Instantaneously, the actress gets ready for next release ‘Vidiyum Varai Kathiru’ featuring her in lead role.

The film is about a young girl, who has to spend an entire night alone in her uncle’s home. Things are fine until she receives anonymous calls from a stranger harassing her over the phone. The ominous voice threatens about killing her over the night. With no options left the girl calls up the cops who in turn trace the call. But it’s really appalling to know that the stranger is calling from nowhere, but within the house.

Viyas has handled screenplay, dialogues and direction while Tan Joor has tuned melodies to lyrics of Pa. Vijay. Panneer Selvam has cranked the camera and Pallavi has produced under the banner of Pariyaj Creations.

The film also features Prakash Raj and Riyaaz Khan in prominent roles.
