PITT AND JOLIE FIND SANCTUARY IN FRENCH CHATEAU

BRAD PITT is happy to have set up a home base with ANGELINA JOLIE in France, because their luxury chateau is the perfect getaway from the invasive paparazzi.
The actor and his partner Jolie have moved their six kids to the South of France, where they’ve purchased a 30-room mansion that boasts a lake and a moat.
And, while the couple still travels the world with their brood, the sprawling property is the perfect place for the family to call home - because the locals and the French media respect their privacy.
Pitt tells Britain’s Reveal magazine, “We’re still nomadic, but we enjoy our privacy there. It’s cut off, so we feel secure that we’re not going to be photographed when we’re at home. We get run out of pretty much every major city. I may b**ch about it, but photographers chase the kids and call their names. In France, they are much cooler. It is nice and slow-moving and we are surrounded by countryside and space.”
The 44 year old admits there are occasional run-ins with photographers in France - but he and Jolie have devised sneaky ways to get past them: “Even there, we have to prepare for the unexpected. When the twins were born, one photographer got on to the hospital roof because he thought we would leave by helicopter. Instead, a van pulled up, we walked out in the middle of the night and that was it - a low-key exit.”
