WASHINGTON - Russell Crowe is set to star in new film “The Next Three Days,” which will be an adaptation of the 2008 French film “Pour Elle,” it has emerged.
The ‘Beautiful Mind’ star will reportedly play a teacher whose wife is arrested and convicted of a murder she says she did not commit.
Then to save his love he comes up with a desperate plan.
The movie will see Paul Haggis, who directed ‘Crash,’ work once again for Lionsgate, a top film studio.
“We’ve seen him as the gladiator, but he has embodied the Everyman in so many pictures,” Variety quoted him as saying.
Higgis also suggested what to expect from the movie.
He said: “The deeper theme here is, would you save the woman you loved if you knew that by doing so, you would turn into a man that woman could no longer love?” (ANI)

I love Patrick O’Brian’s books and Russell in Master and Commander. I would rather see him make O’Brian’s “Letter of Marque,” wherein Jack Aubrey is busted out of the navy and becomes a privateer. What a sexy role that would be! However, if I have to settle, I can’t wait for Russell to reprise the role of Jack Aubrey. |
