Reliance Mobile ties up with US mobile games firm

MUMBAI - Reliance Mobile, part of the Anil Ambani group, Monday said it has tied up with US-based Gameloft, which specialises in developing mobile games based on celebrities and Hollywood movies.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gameloft will release a mobile game based on the life of American heiress and socialite Paris Hilton, called “Paris Hiltons Diamond Quest”, the firm said in a statement.
As part of its tie-up with Reliance Mobile, Gameloft will also launch the mobile game version of its latest Hollywood offerings on the operator’s CDMA and GSM networks.
“Our tie-up with Gameloft is part of our strategy to strengthen our gaming portfolio, said Krishna Durbha, head of value added services at Reliance Communications.
As part of the agreement, Gameloft will also offer Reliance Mobile, a portfolio of games based on Ferrari World Championship, Wimbledon 2009, Spider-Man Toxic City, and a few offerings based on popular television series.
