WASHINGTON - Hollywood actress Jennifer Lopez’s was terrified when she discovered that her then three-week-old daughter Emme had a lump on her head.

Jennifer, who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in 2008, was left horror-struck when she discovered the lump, and was praying day and night that it should not turn out to be serious.

Both Jennifer and her husband Marc Anthony were very worried about their child’s health, and rushed to the doctors to get a check up done.

“We both got very nervous, very very nervous, and I just remember my heart sinking to my feet. I looked at (Marc) and I said, ‘You know if anything happens, I’m not going to be okay, you know that right?’” Contactmusic quoted Jennifer as saying.

It was only after multifarious tests that Emme received an all-clear signal from the doctors.

However, the frightening experience made Jennifer wonder about the plight of the children who cannot afford getting tests and treatment done.

Thus, she founded the Maribel Foundation along with Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, in a bid to offer paediatric health care to those who can’t afford treatment.

“I started to wonder, what if I couldn’t afford a doctor, or receive the medicines, the procedures?” she said. (ANI)
