WASHINGTON - TV chat show host Ellen DeGeneres and her Australian actress partner Portia de Rossi have topped a new poll that asked American mums which celebrities they would feel most comfortable leaving their kids with.
DeGeneres and de Rossi - who married in August and have no children - took 31 per cent of votes, reports Usmagazine.com.
Jennifer Aniston came in second with 22 per cent, beating Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt with their eclectic brood of six in the poll of more than 10,000 mums.
Jolie and Pitt got 18 per cent of votes, while chat show queen Oprah Winfrey got just 9 per cent.
Jolie also won few fans as a mum, coming bottom in a list of five best celebrity mothers.
Mum of two Jennifer Garner won that round, followed by first lady Michelle Obama and Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon in a virtual tie.
The ParentDish.com poll, conducted to mark Mother’s Day, was carried out on AOL’s parenting site between April 23 and May 5. (ANI)
