Martin Sheen says son Charlie’s ‘addiction is like cancer’

LONDON - Martin Sheen says his troubled son Charlie’s addiction is a ‘form of cancer’.
As Charlie appears to embark on a relationship with his rehab nurse, father Martin has likened his son’s addictions to cancer, reports the Daily Express.
Martin insists that while Charlie, 45, appears to be on the mend, his condition is very serious.
“He’s doing well - we pray for him,” says the 70-year-old.
“If he had cancer how would you treat him? This disease of addiction is a form of cancer. You have to have an equal measure of concern and love and lift him up.”(ANI)
