LONDON - Actress Uma Thurman and Jessica Biel have signed up to join Gerard Butler in new sports comedy Playing the Field.
Thurman will play one of a host of mothers who try to seduce Gerard Butler’s character when he takes over as coach of his son’s soccer team in order to spend some quality time with him, reports contactmusic.com.
Jessica Biel has also signed on to the project as the coach’s ex-wife and mother of his son, who is currently planning her wedding to a new man.
Gerard’s character is a former soccer player whose guilt over his wild partying lifestyle leads him to agree to work with his son’s team. However his flirtations with a number of players’ mothers get him into trouble.
The film will be directed by Gabriele Muccino and produced by the leading man from a script written by Robbie Fox.
