MUMBAI - Canadian rocker Bryan Adams, who swayed the audience with 20 of his chartbusters at a concert here, was overwhelmed to receive a donation of $10,000, for his foundation, which looks after the health and education of women across the world.

Netsurf Entertainment and Penrod Ricard, the organisers of the event, donated the money, which was a part of what was earned through the concert in Mumbai Saturday.

It was absolutely generous. Thank you very much for helping my foundation. I really appreciate. Its my fifth concert here and this is not the last time. I have made good friends over the years in India. Thank you very much, Adams told reporters after receiving the donation from actor Suniel Shetty and Sujit Jain, managing director of Netsurf Entertainment.

This wasn’t all - it was announced that that $10,000 will be donated from the concert in other cities too for Admas’ foundation.

Adams started his five-city India tour Friday in Pune and will be performing in Bangalore (Sunday), New Delhi (Tuesday) and Hyderabad (Wednesday).
