NEW DELHI - Filmmaker Shrish Kunder has a very good script in hand and wants to cast Amitabh Bachchan in it and fulfil his long cherished dream of working with the megastar.

Got a beautiful script written by a new writer. Intend to make it with Mr. Bachchan, with me directing it. Hoping this dream comes true (sic), Kunder posted on his Twitter page Thursday.

The 37-year-old has directed Jaan-E-Mann and produced Tees Maar Khaan. He is married to director and choreographer Farah Khan.

Kareena to perform at Ekta’s award function

Actress Kareena Kapoor will reportedly perform at the Global Indian Film and Television Honours (GIFTH) to be hosted by Balaji telefilms Saturday.

Kareena is close to Ekta Kapoor, creative and managing director of Balaji Television, and her actor brother Tusshar, said a source.

“Ekta was of the opinion that the event would be incomplete without Kareena’s performance. They are delighted to have her on board,” the source told IANS.

In spite of her busy schedule Kareena is rehearsing for her performance at the event.

Big B’s technological woes

Amitabh Bachchan might be an avid blogger, but he is worried about the way technology is dominating today’s generation reading and writing habits.

I am horrified to learn that most of the modern generation abhors reading and writing. Their reading comes readymade on Google and Wikipedia. Their writing from the gauge on the mobile and the laptop at the most. That odd piece of waste paper, those scribbling for reminders of important dates to remember, lists of things to do, people and timings for them to meet, all almost gone (sic), Big B posted on his blog Bigb.bigadda.com.

Getting up to meet and sit and talk a point or moment through with your friend, your relative or close family member, is executed through the sms mechanism, or the twitter or the response that I shall put by the morrow on this page of my personal blog. It has all been systematised, he added.

The 68-year-old also feels everything - be it remembering own mobile number at times, or the number plate of the car or appointments and wishes to fulfil - is substituted by the computer.
