Lively not approached for ‘Sex and The City’ prequel

LOS ANGELES - Actress Blake Lively has shot down reports that she has been approached to play Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex And The City” prequel.

The character of Bradshaw, played by actress Sarah Jessica Parker, is set to hit the big screen solo in a movie based on “The Carrie Diaries”, a book by Candace Bushnell, whose novel inspired the hit TV show.

Cyrus has previously expressed an interest in the role, however, further reports suggested that the “Gossip Girl” star was in talks for the part, reports imdb.com.

But Lively’s representative has moved swiftly to deny the speculation saying, “There is no truth to it.”
