LONDON - Ailing actress Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt are selling their Los Angeles mansion, previously inhabited by Elvis Presley, for 28 million dollars.
Gabor’s publicist John Blanchette said the 8,000 sq ft estate, which boasts a total of 26 rooms, was originally built for the late aviator and industrialist Howard Hughes.
Presley lived in the hillside house in Bel Air decades ago while he was filming movies in Los Angeles, he added.
“We only use two rooms, all the other rooms are locked up. It doesn’t make sense for two people to live in such a big place,” the Telegraph quoted Anhalt, as saying.
The couple plans to move to a luxury condominium, he said.
The 93-year-old actress bought the mansion from Elvis’ estate in the 1970s for 600,000 dollars, said Anhalt.
Meanwhile, Gabor is recovering in hospital following an operation to amputate her leg on Friday after developing a serious gangrene infection. (ANI)
