LOS ANGELES - British actor Colin Firth and actress Natalie Portman have won the Golden Globe awards here for their performance in the category motion picture drama.

Firth took away the glory from Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network); James Franco (127 Hours); Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine) and Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter).
Portman on the other hand beat competition from Halle Berry (Frankie and Alice); Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole); Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) and Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine).
