Pacino, Danes get Golden Globes for best actors in TV mini series

LOS ANGELES - Acting legend Al Pacino and actress Claire Danes have won the best actor and actress Golden Globe gongs respectively for mini-series or a motion picture made for television.

While Pacino bagged it for HBO’s “You Don’t Know Jack”, Danes has bagged the trophy for “Temple Grandin”, another HBO production at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Competing with Pacino were Idris Elba for “Luther”; Ian McShane for “Pillars Of The Earth”; Dennis Quaid for “The Special Relationship” and Edgar Ramirez for “Carlos”.

Danes on the other hand had competition with Hayley Atwell for “Pillars Of The Earth”; Judi Dench for “Return To Cranford”; Romola Garai for “Emma” and Jennifer Love Hewitt for “The Client List”.
