NEW DELHI - How would you feel if you wake up in the morning and find someone else in place of your mother? Sony TV’s new reality show “Maa Exchange”, going on air Wednesday, will see two mothers swap families for seven days.

The show, to be hosted by veteran television actress Surekha Sikri, will see women from different backgrounds and cultures exchange homes and try to discover how daily life is while living in another woman’s house and looking after her family with new sets of rules and regulations.

Pooja Bedi is also one of the contestants on the show.

“Maa Exchange” is an Indian version of the show “Wife Swap”, where wives are exchanged. But to suit the Indian sensibilities, the concept has been changed to swap mothers instead.

Earlier, “Pati Patni Aur Woh” on Imagine TV had five celebrity couples become parents to infants, toddlers, and teenagers for four days each. The couples had to not only take care of the kids but also do their household chores.
