‘Power Balance’ wristbands may be ‘no better than a rubber band’

LONDON - Although it was the latest rage amongst celebrities like Kate Middleton and David Beckham, the ‘Power Balance’ wristband is quite powerless, after all.
The company behind the bands has admitted that there is no science to back up its claims.
And they may even be “no better than a rubber band”, according to an Australian consumer watchdog.
Following an investigation by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the company had to make the admission about its 29.99 pound bracelet, reports the Daily Express.
The US firm is now ready to offer refunds to all those who bought it in the hope of improving their balance, strength and flexibility.
It must also remove the words “performance technology” from the band itself. (ANI)
