LONDON - ‘Rocky’ star Sylvester Stallone has taken his love of fine pens to another level - by agreeing to become a consultant and public face of luxury writing company Montegrappa.
The 64-year-old is an avid collector of high-quality writing instruments and always uses a Montegrappa marker to ink his name on movie contracts.
According to TradeArabia.com, he has signed to act as brand ambassador for the prestigious Italian company, and provide creative input for a new range of pens lined up for production in 2011, reports the Daily Star.
In return, the Hollywood star receives a major stake in the company.
“I have had the pleasure of meeting Stallone on many occasions, including the 2009 Venice Film Festival, where he was recognised for his filmmaking with the Glory To The Filmmaker Award,” said Montegrappa boss Giuseppe Aquila.
“Stallone is much more than a friend - he is an icon and an artist and now, an integral part of Montegrappa’s distinguished history,” he added. (ANI)
