Gyllenhaal gifts $15,000 guitar to Swift

LONDON - Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has reportedly gifted a $15,000 rare guitar to singer Taylor Swift on her birthday.

Swift, who is rumoured to be dating Gyllenhaal, spotted the Fender Gretsch guitar, signed by the late country music icon Chet Atkins, at a shop and showed a keen interest in it. Gyllenhaal said to have sneaked in the shop behind her back to buy it for her.

“Jake spent the weekend in Nashville with her (Taylor) and she saw the guitar in a tiny store which a lot of A-list musicians use,” showbizspy.com quoted a source as saying.

“Taylor drooled over it so Jake went back to the shop later and bought it for her. He was originally going to buy the guitar just as a gift but it ended up being perfect for her birthday.”
