LONDON - John Lennon’s iconic white suit from the Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ album cover is among a host of the singer’s possessions up for auction.

The suit, along with the blazer Lennon wore in the video for ‘Imagine’ and a 1972 Chrysler station wagon that once belonged to him and Yoko Ono, are among the memorabilia being auctioned by Braswell Galleries in Connecticut on New Year’s Day, reports the Daily Mail.

Auction house co-owner Gary Braswell said that the suit’s current owner decided to sell after experiencing some economic hardship. He, however, refused to disclose the seller’s name.

He said he did know how much the wool-blend suit would fetch, but noted that the suit and blazer together sold for 120,000 dollars in 2005.

Music fans had marked the 30th anniversary of Lennon’s death earlier this month. (ANI)
