NEW DELHI - From the homes of television actors to the sets of soaps and reality shows, new online show Wassup TV promises to give updates on news, gossip as well as behind the scenes information about the Indian TV industry.
Wassup TV, a weekly show, premiered Thursday, and will be available for viewers on multiple websites.
Explaining the reason behind launching an online show, its producer Vijay Bhatter said: While in the past people would switch on their television sets for entertainment, today more and more people are online watching videos and discussing their favorite artists and shows. So, why not start providing unique content online catering to different niches?
According to Bhatter, it is vital to keep up with changing times, where a huge number of people look at online and mobile phones as a medium of entertainment.
3G has taken over the world and is soon to hit India. So, content will be moving to online and mobile slowly. This is just our first step into production and we are hoping to step into Bollywood shows and many other genres very soon, he added.
