Sir Cliff Richard outsells Justin Bieber in calendar charts

LONDON - Sir Cliff Richard has beaten Canadian singer Justin Bieber in the calendar charts, taking the top spot by outselling the teen star.

According to new figures from Amazon.co.uk, Richard, 70, has been the all-time biggest seller for calendar maker Danilo with more than 1.5 million sold over the years.

And age has not taken its toll on the veteran singer, who stripped down to his waist in one of his calendar shots, despite having been in the pop business for 50 years.

“The fact that Sir Cliff is holding off competition from the likes of JLS and Justin Bieber shows just how popular he is and it seems that his images will be adorning walls in people’s homes all over the UK from 1 January,” the Daily Mail quoted Amazon’s Amy Worth as saying.

The other top five celebs are, former X Factor group JLS in second, Justin Bieber in third place, Michael Buble in fourth and Peter Andre in fifth.

Cheryl Cole is the best selling female, with Kylie Minogue taking second place, while American singer Pink came third, followed by Lady Gaga in fourth and Kelly Brook in fifth. (ANI)
