Wanna see the original “Shrek” for free? You can watch it at the Tivoli Theatre’s Halloween Happening event on Oct. 30, without having dressed up like Shrek.
Entrance to the annual costume contest and screening is free for all. Registration will begin at 9 a.m with judging at 9:45 a.m.
This summer the Chicago area saw both ‘Shrek Forever After’ and ‘Shrek the Musical’ stage play downtown, so we thought it would be fun to bring back the original
, said Mark Mazrimas, marketing director for the Tivoli’s parent company, Classic Cinemas.
This year the Halloween Happening event completes 17th year. It has seen competing Cubs and Sox scoreboard costumes, complete with blinking lights, and a triple stroller that one mom of a child had turned into Fred Flintstone’s car.
“Shrek” will be shown at 11 a.m at the Halloween Happening event .
