NEW YORK - Hollywood actor Mel Gibson is said to be furious with the producers of ‘The Hangover 2′ after he was axed from the flick.
Gibson’s cameo role as a tattoo artist was seen as a comeback for his tattered career, but producers were quick to cut him loose after an outcry from cast and crew. Now, Liam Neeson will replace Gibson in the movie.
“He doesn’t understand why Mike Tyson, a drug user who turned his life around, was given a chance while Mel was kicked to the curb. Everybody deserves a second chance,” the New York Post quoted a source close to Gibson, as saying.
Alan Nierob, the representative for Neeson, said in a statement that Neeson would replace Gibson in the part, “pending clearance of cast and crew background check”. (ANI)
