‘Berry didn’t help Martinez get role’

LONDON - Hollywood actress Halle Berry’s representative has dismissed speculation about her having helped her rumoured boyfriend Oliver Martinez land a part in “Dark Tide”, insisting the French star was chosen because he is “the best actor for the role”.

“Olivier was cast because he was the best actor for the role and both Halle and the director agreed. Any speculation beyond that reason is completely false,” said the spokesperson.

The two will appear together in the new thriller that tells the story of a diving instructor who returns to deep waters after a near-fatal encounter with a shark, dailystar.co.uk reports.

Berry and Martinez sparked rumours of an on-set romance while they were filming in South Africa and were spotted together after the shoots wrapped.
