Mariah Carey takes a tumble onstage

LONDON - Mariah Carey summoned her assistant to remove her heels when she took a tumble while performing in a concert in Singapore.

The 40-year-old diva fell as she belted out her song Make It Happen at a Formula 1 event.

She ended up sitting on the stage before being helped up by one of her backing dancers.

As she was hoisted to her feet, Carey quickly joked: ‘I meant to do that.’

But the Dreamlover singer was taking no chances and luckily an assistant was on hand to remove the vertiginous heels that no doubt contributed to her fall.

The female assistant removed her shoes as Carey continued to sing, before finishing the 90-minute performance barefoot.

‘TY SO much to my fans in Singapore!!! Yeah, several hectic moments, (lol!)but I tried to swirl them into festive!.Love+ God Bless!’ the Daily Mail quoted the singer as tweeting. (ANI)
