ASHTON KUTCHER and DEMI MOORE put on a united front amid new reports their marriage is in trouble to launch their latest campaign against child sex slavery on Thursday (23Sep10).
The couple held hands as they stepped onstage at a conference for former U.S President Bill Clinton’s organisation The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York.
They were there to launch their Real Men Don’t Buy Girls initiative as part of their work for The Demi and Ashton (DNA) Foundation, which raises awareness about how to fight human trafficking and to provide support to survivors of abuse.
Moore told the conference she hoped to recruit “men who are courageous enough… to stand behind the statement that real men don’t buy girls.”
And Kutcher explained the target of the campaign is to “create a trafficking-free Internet”, adding, “This is people treating people like people.”
The actor and his wife, who celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary on Friday (24Sep10), are currently fighting tabloid allegations he cheated on Moore while she was on location filming. Kutcher has fiercely denied the reports.
