A judge has granted NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN permission to proceed with a multi-million dollar lawsuit against DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES creator MARC CHERRY.
The actress, who played Edie Britt on the hit show, filed suit against Cherry in April (10), claiming he slapped her in the face after she expressed an opinion about a script he had written, and then fired her when she complained to producers.
Cherry’s lawyers attempted to block the case from going forward but Judge Elizabeth Allen White has decided to allow Sheridan to sue, according to gossip blogger Perez Hilton.
The star is demanding more than $20 million (£13.3 million) for assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.
