MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Bobby Deol-Mugdha Godse starrer “Help” has released in theaters across the country today. Although Bollywood filmmakers are hardly known for their prowess over making horror flicks, it seems that they are never really tired of using the same old formula of unsatisfied spirits seeking revenge for the wrong that is done to them. The recent movie in the horror genre is the debutante Rajeev Manoj Virani directed ” Help” has nothing much to offer other than what audiences would expect from a Bollywood horror film, according to critics.
The review of the movie “Help” that has been available tells the story of the married couple Vic and Pia who are going through a tough time in their relationship and have to rush to Mauritius as Pia’s father becomes hospitalized. However, things take an intriguing turn when after landing in Mauritius, the couple are confronted with a rather bizarre problem when a spirit possesses Pia following the revelation that she is pregnant. Now, Vic has to fight the spirit, which is that of Pia’s sister Dia who passed away when she was just five years old and in the process he unravels mysterious details of his wife’s family and her past.
Although the performances by the lead stars, Bobby Deol and Mugdha Godse has been appreciated, the “Help” movie review reveals that the story and screenplay hardly has anything new to offer. The story tends to get a bit repetitive at times and the first half drags itself so much that it fails to hold on to the attention of the audiences.
