Murphy to turn ‘Glee’ into musical

NEW YORK - TV series “Glee” director Ryan Murphy has confirmed that he is going to turn his hit US show into a Broadway musical.

Bosses at Music Theatre Intl. announced in March that they were in “negotiations” to turn the popular singing and dancing programme into a New York stage production but 20th Century Fox representative Chris Alexander moved quickly to slam the claims, insisting he was “mystified” about the rumoured talks.

Murphy has now ended speculation by announcing a stage show is in the pipeline, reports nydailynews.com.

He said the musical is “definitely” happening and added: “I’m auditioning people now.”
