Ashley Judd credits therapy for saving her life

LONDON - Ashley Judd admitted that she would be in a dark place had she not received therapy for her growing depression back in 2006.
The star had checked into the Shades of Hope Treatment Center in Texas in a bid to battle her demons and admitted that she enjoys her life to the fullest now that she is happy and free of her problems.
“It’s (therapy) the single most important thing in my life. If I put that first everything else falls into place. Depression is the leading cause of disability in the United States. Suicide is an epidemic amongst young people; it’s the leading cause of death,” The Daily Express quoted her as saying.
“My experience was in and out but probably because it is a progressive disease I was getting to a place where I would’ve stayed in if I didn’t have some sort of intervention; some sort of help that showed me how to get that daily reprieve.
“Just by doing a few simple things every day I get that reprieve. I love it and I want it and it’s a great way to live… I really enjoy the opportunity to share my experience, strength and hope because there is a way out,” she added. (ANI)
