Prakash Raj, Pooja Win Filmfare Awards

August 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The 57th South Indian Filmfare awards turned to be the most happening event of this year as it witnessed coming together of every celebrity of South Indian film fraternity. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan graced the occasion and presented awards to a few winners. Prakash Raj won the ‘Best Actor’ awards for his astounding act in Kanchivaram while Pooja for her challenging performance in Naan Kadavul walked away with the ‘Best Actress’ award.
Prakash Raj thanked his director Priyadarshan for making a realistic film.
Harris Jayaraj won ‘Best Music Director’ award for his commendable tunes in Suriya-Thamannah starrer Ayan while Na. Muthukumar bagged the ‘Best Lyrics’ award for the song ‘Vizhi Mudi Yosithal’ in the same album.
Jayaprakash won ‘Best Actor in the Supporting Role’ for his performance in Pasanga and ‘Best Actress in the Supporting Role’ was awarded to Shammu for her finest acting in Kanchivaram.
Nadodigal won the ‘Best Movie Award’ and Priyadarshan was presented with ‘Best Director Award’ for Kanchivaram.
