Morgan Hands Holiday To Lucky U.s. Viewer

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT judge PIERS MORGAN showed off his softer side on U.S. TV on Tuesday (03Aug10) - he offered to pay for a viewer to jet off on holiday to the Caribbean.
The journalist-turned-TV-star was co-hosting daytime show Live With Regis And Kelly with Kelly Ripa and the pair was quizzing viewer Christine Novelli for a competition to win a holiday.
Novelli failed to answer the question before her time ran out - but kind-hearted Morgan, who wed his girlfriend Celia Walden in June (10), refused to let her go away empty-handed.
He said, “Wait a minute, I just got married. I’m supposed to be a dream-crusher, I’d like to be a dream-maker. Why don’t I pay for you to go?
“I’m not going to have three seconds ruining your dream… I’m going to pay for you to go.”
Thanks to Morgan, Novelli will now jet off to St. Lucia to mark her 20th wedding anniversary.
