LONDON - Tom Cruise-starrer “Vanilla Sky” has been voted the most confusing film ever in a new poll.
It topped a poll conducted by DVD subscription firm LoveFilm as fans found the plotline difficult to understand, reports contactmusic.com.
The 2001 movie, which also starred Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz, told a surreal tale of a wealthy publishing heir, played by Cruise. After a car accident Cruise’s character is horribly disfigured and he begins to suffer from a series of hallucinations.
David Lynch’s “Mulholland Drive” came in second place while “Donnie Darko”, which was directed by Richard Kelly, was third.
Other films in the top 10 included “The Matrix Revolutions”, “Memento”, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “A Clockwork Orange”.
