LONDON - Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage admits being mischievous at times, saying this makes life interesting.
The actor will play the role of a sorcerer in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.
“It has to be like that. You have to have a bit of mischievous kid in the back of the classroom to make it interesting,” contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.
“I have to make it amusing for me, which means there has to be some level of mischief and public disruption,” he added.
The 46-year-old also says he gave his inputs during the pre-production stage.
“I was in Hungary making another movie and I got a call from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub and they said, ‘We want you to maybe wear bracelets and hit these bracelets and that’s when the magic happens’.
“Interesting, but I said, ‘No, it has to be a ring because I have to use my hands.’ It’s like conducting. I really wanted to be able to conduct the magic into happening. … It’s more beautiful to use your hands than just smashing your wrists together,” he said.
