Estelle Getty Death Reminiscened After Rue McClanahan Death

LOS ANGEELS (GaeaTimes.com) — As all of you know, Rue McClanahan, a renowned actress of ‘The Golden Girls’ series has died from a massive stroke Thursday morning. Soon after the news of McClanahan’s passing away came people started searching for other members of the cast. While Betty white is still enjoying a glorious career, other Golden girls are not with us, including Estelle Getty.
Estelle Getty, was an American actress. She was best known for her role as Sophia Petrillo on The Golden Girls from 1985 to 1992. This popular character earned her an Emmy and a Golden Globe award.
Estelle Getty, passed away only three days before turning 85. Her death was due to natural cause.
Following Estelle Getty’s death Ruth McClanahan said:
“Don’t feel sad about her passing. She will always be with us in her crowning achievement, Sophia.”
Betty White said, “The only comfort at this moment is that although Estelle has moved on, Sophia will always be with us.”
